The Philco 42-321 was a 6 tube tabletop set sold in…you guessed it…1942. This was the first radio I ever restored. Purchased by my great-grandmother WAY before I was born. I remember it sitting on my grandparents kitchen counter as my great-grandmother sat nearby while it played.
At some point it was inherited by my father. I remember hearing it play from my bed on cold winter school mornings as my mom listened to school closings. Eventually it was placed into storage and forgotten till I saw it one day and decided to attempt a restoration.
